Sun Prairie Masonic Lodge donates fire suppression devices to Marshall Fire Department

Sun Prairie Masonic Lodge 143 recently donated two portable fire suppression units to the Marshall Fire Department. The units have the ability to reduce the temperature of an initial fire by over 1,000 degrees for 45 minutes and prevents re-flash, allowing people inside a burning building to safely escape and provide a safer environment for first responders to respond. The units release a safe, non-toxic aerosol into the fire that breaks up the fire chain.

Each of the two units donated cost more than $1,000 and are capable of being carried by any of the village’s first responder units—by the Fire Department, in police squad cars, and/or EMS ambulances, allowing for immediate response to a fire before the full firefighting efforts commence.
